Paranormal Investigations - Ghost Hunts
Our public ghost hunts are a participatory event where members of the public join experienced investigators to search for evidence of the paranormal at reputedly haunted locations.
Typical Event Structure While specific details vary by location, most public ghost hunts follow a similar timeline:
- Check-in & Orientation: Upon arrival, you are typically greeted and split into small groups. Staff provide a safety briefing and an overview of the site's history and reported hauntings.
- Guided Investigation: For the first portion of the night, team leaders or professional investigators guide you through "hot spots". They demonstrate how to use specialized equipment and suggest techniques for enticing paranormal activity.
- Interactive Sessions: Instead of just watching, you participate in live sessions, such as asking questions to spirit boxes or monitoring motion-detector devices.
- "Free Roam" Time: a period of independent investigation where you can explore permitted areas of the building on your own.
- Mini-Experiments: Guides may lead specific activities, such as Spirit Box sessions, EMF (Electromagnetic Field) sweeps, or traditional methods like or dowsing rods.
- Atmosphere: These events are almost always held after dark, often in historic or abandoned sites like prisons, asylums, and old mansions.
- Expert Guidance: Events are led by a paranormal investigator with 47 year of experience " who provide historical context and teach participants how to use equipment.
- Specialized Equipment: Participants are provided with:
- EMF Meters: To detect electromagnetic field fluctuations.
- Spirit Boxes: For real-time audio communication attempts.
- Detection Devices: REM Pods detect spirit energy, Ultrasonic sensors and Infrared Induction sensors that detect motion
- Dowsing Rods: A traditional tool used to locate energy.
- Thermal Cameras & Digital Recorders: To capture visual anomalies or Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP).
- Exclusive Access: Guests often gain after-hours entry to restricted areas, such as basements, attics, or historic rooms not open to daytime visitors.
- Structured Groups Rotations: Our groups range from 4 to 12 people depending on the location. We typically divided into smaller teams that rotate through different "hotspots" in the venue to keep the environment quiet and controlled.
- Check-in & Briefing: Guests arrive, sign safety waivers, and receive a briefing on the site's history and safety rules.
- Investigation Sessions: Guided groups spend 15–60 minutes in specific areas conducting experiments, such as EVP sessions (asking questions aloud and recording) or monitoring energy spikes.
- Data Review: Some events include a concluding session where the lead investigators share any interesting captures or findings from the night.
- Cost and Requirements: Tickets generally range from $25 to $150 depending on the venue and duration. Many events are 18+ or require minors to be accompanied by a guardian.
- Environment: Locations like old prisons, asylums, or other historic sites often lack heating, cooling, or modern facilities; guests are advised to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Personal Conduct: Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited. Respect for the property and any potential "spirits" is expected.
